Meet Jennifer and Grant! Recently, we met Jennifer, and her mother, at the Vintage Market Days in Mobile, AL. They own a cute little pop up shop called Mother Daughter Market! After they booked, we waited for the all clear to photograph Jennifer and Grant’s engagement session. After being proposed to on one of their friend’s boats, Jennifer and Grant knew they wanted to include the coast in their engagement session. Because of that, their Wharf at Orange Beach engagement session was the perfect idea for these water lovers!
Although Jennifer and Grant are super busy people, we scheduled their waterfront engagement session. Jennifer just graduated with her Master’s in Nursing Education and is continuing on to become a Nurse Practitioner. And, Grant is a firefighter for the Daphne fire department. We had such a great time getting to know them more during their session. They’re so much fun and we had a great time during their engagement portraits along the docks at the Wharf.
The Wharf at Orange Beach Engagement Session
To be honest, we weren’t sure how everything was going to turn out on the day of their engagement session. That morning, when we woke up, it was raining and super humid! We got a little frustrated with our weather apps, which had told us the day before that it would be clear and perfect! Yikes!!! Despite the rain, we all headed to meet at the Wharf at Orange Beach anyway, hoping it would clear. The whole drive over, it sprinkled… wasn’t looking too good. But, miraculously, right before we were supposed to start shooting, the sun began to peek out and we got some beautiful, dramatic clouds! The best part was that it had cooled everything down! Because of the weather, we actually lucked out with a truly gorgeous session at Heron Pointe and The Wharf.
Between the time on the Wharf and the portraits along Heron Pointe’s property, Jennifer and Grant’s portraits have such a coastal and southern feel to them. Honestly, we absolutely love these engagement photos because they truly show parts of what make this couple unique. Not to mention, we got to shoot at some of the most gorgeous spots along Orange Beach!
Jennifer and Grant, you two are seriously the sweetest. We had a wonderful time celebrating your engagement with you! And, we are so thankful the weather cleared up for us! We can’t wait for your New Years Eve wedding! We absolutely love your session and can’t wait to see you again!
